Rotodrum Self-Cleaning Filtration System

Dirty coolant entry: The contaminated industrial coolant is conveyed to the drum filter and passes through a filtering, stainless steel mesh covering the drum, depositing the pollutants on its surface; 

Filtration process: As the polluting material settles on the drum filter's mesh, the thickness of the sludge increases, improving the degree of filtration and raising the level of the liquid. Once the maximum level has been reached, the mesh cleaning cycle starts and nozzles spray clean liquid from the inside to the outside of the drum. The polluting material which has settled at the bottom of the dirt area is scraped into a container by a dredging chain positioned at the bottom of the filter ;

Clean coolant exit: Once it has passed through the filtering mesh and inside the drum, the clean liquid exits through the discharge area and falls into the underlying collection tank. From here the clean liquid is sent back to the machine tools.
